Is Compounding Safe?

A common fear is that compounded drugs are not safe. Compounded drugs are only allowed to be created by registered pharamacists, and NextDoor pharmacy ensures that any drug we compound is safe for patients. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved because the FDA does not conduct an investigation on each compounded drug. This does not mean they are unsafe or illegal.
